Repair-CRM sends several emails to your customers automatically. If one didn't arrive, this article helps you find out why.
Which emails go to customers?
Appointment notification on the day of the visit (who's coming and when).
Job confirmation email, which you send yourself from the jobs page, for example for jobs booked weeks ahead.
Work Order PDF and rating request after the job is closed.
Quotes, sent with the Send Quote button.
Invoices are sent by QuickBooks, not by Repair-CRM.
Checklist
Check the client's email address. No email on the client means no PDF and no rating request.
Check your email (SMTP) settings. If you set up your own mailbox (Gmail, Office 365, Zoho…), wrong settings stop all emails. Gmail needs an App Password; Office 365 needs SMTP AUTH enabled.
Check spam/junk on the customer's side.
Check your workflow. With Enable Finalizing Step on, the Work Order goes out only after you finalize the job. With Job Quick Close Workflow, no PDF email is sent.
Check the notification settings in System settings (Customer notification settings).
Booking confirmations
The job must be in Scheduled status.
Send the confirmation from the jobs page. You can customize the subject, body, CC/BCC and up to 3 attachments in the job confirmation settings.
Common questions
The "send test email" button doesn't work
The test email in the online booking portal settings is disabled. Test with a real job sent to your own address instead.
Can I write a free-form email to a customer from Repair-CRM?
