The Map View tab in Repair-CRM is a powerful tool designed to visualize job locations and optimize routing for technicians. It aids in efficient job dispatching by providing a geographical overview of scheduled jobs, making it easier to plan routes and allocate jobs to technicians based on their locations. This article elaborates on the features of the Map View tab and how to leverage it for efficient job dispatching.

1. Accessing the Map View Tab:

  • Locate and click on the Map View tab within Repair-CRM to access the geographical representation of jobs and routing functionalities.

2. Displaying Jobs on the Map:

  • The "Show Jobs" feature allows for the display of multiple days or even a week's worth of scheduled jobs on the map. Note that unscheduled and unassigned jobs are not shown in this view.

3. Batching Jobs for Optimized Routing:

  • Click through the jobs displayed on the map to "Add to Batch." This feature gathers selected jobs together for route optimization.

  • Once jobs are added to the batch, the system calculates and displays the optimized route based on these jobs, showing the total distance, total work duration, and travel time.

  • Utilize the "Batch Edit" button to dispatch the batched jobs to a specific technician on a specific date with just one click. This action will overwrite previous technicians and dates assigned to these jobs.

4. Visualizing Final Routes:

  • After dispatching jobs, use the "Show Routes" button to display the final routes for a specific date.

  • The displayed routes will showcase the optimized sequence of jobs, travel time, work time, total duration, and miles, providing a clear itinerary for each technician.

5. Dispatching Based on Routes:

  • The Map View tab facilitates quick dispatching of jobs based on optimized routes, ensuring that technicians can complete their jobs with minimal travel time and distance.

Conclusion: The Map View tab in Repair-CRM significantly contributes to efficient job dispatching, reducing travel time, and ensuring timely service delivery. By visualizing job locations and optimizing routes, you can enhance technician productivity and client satisfaction.
