Quick answers about the client record.

Client type

Client Types group your clients (for example residential or commercial). Manage them in the client list settings. If you use QuickBooks, customer types are imported from QuickBooks; re-import after changing them there.

Addresses

  • A client can have multiple locations and contacts.

  • Locations have a type, such as Office, Main Home or Rental Home. When using QuickBooks Online, it is limited to Shipping/Billing address, since QuickBooks only allows those 2 types.

  • Client search also finds billing and shipping addresses.

  • Want the shipping address as the default job location? Support can set this for your account.

  • Addresses from QuickBooks import field by field (street, city, postal code). Fix the structure in QuickBooks if they look wrong.

Title field

Title is for Mr/Mrs, not a job title. It's limited to 16 characters by QuickBooks.
