Welcome to the team!
This guide walks you through your first day with the Repair-CRM mobile app, from logging in to closing your first job.
1. Install the app and log in
Download the app: Android (Google Play) or iPhone / iPad (App Store).
Open the activation email your office sent you (check spam/junk too) and click the link to create your password. Do not sign up for a new account.
Log in to the app with your email address and that password.
Important: One user can only be logged in on one device at a time. If you log in on another device, the first device shows "You have been logged out, because you logged in from another device." Each person should have their own user account; do not share one login between several people.
Always keep the app updated from the store. Many issues are already fixed in the latest version.
2. Find your jobs
As a technician you see the jobs assigned to you. A job shows up for you once the office has given it a date/time and assigned you.
Open the job list in the app.
Tap a job to see the client, location, description, items and custom fields.
If the job is waiting for you (status Pending), accept it so it becomes Scheduled. If your office uses automatic job confirmation, this step is skipped.
3. Work the job
Start the timer when you begin work. You can pause and continue it; the total time is shown in the web app.
Tap Edit on the job to add your notes, custom field values (for example technician remarks or checklist items), parts/services and photos.
Add parts and services from the list instead of typing new ones, so they match your accounting.
Need to come back another day? Clock in and out again on the same job each visit.
4. Close the job
Make sure your notes, items and photos are complete.
Collect the customer's signature if your company requires it.
Finish/finalize the job in the app. Depending on your company's settings, it goes to the office for review (Finalizing) or straight to the customer.
Troubleshooting / Common questions
I can't type anything on the job
Tap Edit first. If there's still nothing to edit, the job may not be fully scheduled (no date/time) or it's already finalized. Ask your office.
The job won't finalize when it has many photos
Large photos upload slowly, especially on weak mobile signal. Lower the camera resolution on your phone, and try again on a better connection.
A job I closed disappeared from my list
Closed jobs drop off the active list after a while.
I see "You have been logged out, because you logged in from another device."
Your user was logged in on another device (phone, tablet or computer). Only one device can be logged in per user at a time. Log in again on the device you want to use, and make sure nobody else is using your login – every person needs their own user account.
