New: Plan next month's maintenance in minutes with the Scheduling Planner

A new Dispatching tab that shows everything due next month, groups nearby sites, and creates all the jobs in one click.

The Scheduling Planner is a new tab in Dispatching. It shows every asset that comes due for maintenance next month, plus your open job requests and unscheduled jobs, in one list. Group the sites that are close to each other, give each one a technician and a day, then create all the jobs in one click.

What you can do with it

  • See everything that's due. Assets with a next maintenance date in the period, open job requests, and unscheduled or unassigned jobs show up together. Nothing slips because it lives in a different list.

  • Group nearby sites. The planner groups sites that are within a few miles of each other (you choose the distance). You can also group by ZIP code, part number, technician or visit day.

  • Split the work between technicians. Assign a whole area with one click, select rows and assign them together, or drag cards onto a technician.

  • Let Auto-plan do the first pass. Auto-plan gives every item a technician and a working day, keeping each area with one technician and filling each working day before moving to the next. You can change anything afterwards.

  • Check the day before you commit. The planner estimates start times, route order and miles driven for each technician's day, and warns you when a day runs past working hours.

  • Work the way you like. Plan in a table, on a card board (by technician or by day), or on a map with each technician's route drawn in.

  • Create the jobs. One click creates a job for every planned item with the right technician, date and time. Existing unscheduled jobs are assigned instead of duplicated.

Why it matters for a small team

Preventive maintenance is repeat revenue, but only if the visits actually get booked. Planning a month by hand means jumping between the asset list, the calendar and a map. The Scheduling Planner puts those in one screen, so a month of visits for a few technicians becomes one planning session instead of an afternoon of back-and-forth.

Where to find it

Go to Dispatching and open the Scheduling Planner tab. It opens on next month automatically.

Your draft plan is saved in your browser until you create the jobs. Nothing reaches your technicians or customers before that.
